This year, we are at a pivotal moment in our pursuit of educational equity. In addition to challenges facing our district, we’re seeing major threats to public education on a national scale: rollbacks of protections for special education, the removal of resources for English language learners, and the dismantling of programs that promote diversity and inclusion.
Books & Breakfast is responding by doing what we do best: rising to meet this moment, and bringing people together to open doors for students. We plan to start by expanding our Morning Program to Oakton Elementary School in early 2026.
We invite you to join us by making sure Oakton starts out strong. When you give:
$2,500 covers one student’s participation in Morning Program for the school year
$1,200 provides healthy breakfast at all of our school sites for one month
$500 covers one week of programming at one of our school sites
$200 delivers custom book packages to one student for the 2025-2026 school year
Any contribution at the $5,000 level or above this year will be considered an Anchor Gift toward our new school site at Oakton.
